Halloumi is a semi-hard cheese made from a mixture of cow’s, goat’s and sheep’s milk. Halloumi is a traditional cheese originating from Cyprus. It retains its taste and consistency by storing it in brine with the addition of dried mint. Halloumi is perfect for cooking, because regardless of the temperature, it does not melt but remains in its original form. Four 50g slices of Halloumi each will be great as a substitute for meat in burgers.
